Being a Virtual Assistant, I find it important to be always connected with my clients. After work, I have to check my email and messenger once in a while to anticipate my working day next day (so I know if I have to take a deep breath at the start of the day or lose my breath at all at the end of the day.)

I’m glad that in our technology today, communication has never been easier. I can communicate with my clients and even bring my work wherever parts of the world I am. Pairing with my computer is my laptop and my smartphone where I can check emails and get in touch even if I’m on the mall chilling out.

Researching for the next (possible) device shopping, I stumble upon Huawei Nexus 6P smartphone. And browsing on its features impressed me. Although it is fully loaded with key features, I would like to list my favorite ones.

Iconic hardware design

Let’s face it. We really judge the book by its cover. Well at least on a first glance. And this is why the Nexus 6P caught my attention.

Nexus 6P is a successor of Nexus 6. While the latter has plastic body, the 6P is covered with aeronautical-grade anodized aluminium. Which means, this tough baby is ready to go head to head battle against the iPhone 6S Plus.

The 6P comes in 4 elegant colors of white, gray, black, and gold.

I admit that patience is not my virtue when it comes to slow devices. It wastes a lot of time and in the nature of my work, time means money.

When I saw that the 6P has the latest version of the octa-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 810 v2.1 processor, I knew it will have ultra-fast performance. You don’t have to worry about freezing applications anymore. Every swipe of the finger would be like a breeze.

Fast charging

The Nexus 6P comes with the USB Type C charging port and reversible cable. Do you know what it means?

Not only 6P can recharge faster than the ordinary smartphones but it also allows you to connect to everything, both Type A (the most common one) and Type B (the smaller one). And you don’t have to worry about plugging it upside down. Unlike the ordinary Type A USB port where you have to plug on the right direction, the Type C can fit in directly even with your eyes closed. There’s no trial and error plugging in.

Low-light loving, powerful camera

I also take photos. Photography is one of my past times. I even get invited to cover some events such as children’s parties and debuts. So having a smartphone not only to help me do my work but also that allows me to shoot decent photos is a big plus.

And as a father, I love taking photos and videos of my kids. Actually, most of their videos were taken from my smartphone. Most of the treasured moments happen unexpectedly. You’ll never know when they will happen. And if they do, I don’t have time to unpack my DSLR, take off the lens cover, load the battery and setup the settings. What I need is a smartphone that is always ready for action.

Nexus 6P has 12.3MP camera that will provide you sharper and high-resolution photos. That would allow me to take decent photos of my kids even with lots of movements.

Its 1.55μm pixels allows you to take amazing photos even on low light or dark areas. This means, this smartphone will be ready for action wherever my kids are.

Its camera runs on Google Camera app. And if you want, your photos will instantly uploaded to your Google Photos where your photos can be synced and seen on other devices.

Power of Google in the palm of your hands

I must admit that I heavily rely on Google on my work. Since I don’t want to login to many accounts, I use Google on most of my daily tasks including email (Gmail), schedule and appointments (Calendar), communication (Hangouts), cloud storage for files (Drive) and even for my entertainment and personal purposes like YouTube, Maps and Photos. So if Google beaks down or shuts down, I’m a dead man.

These are all in the Nexus 6P. All I need is one login, and I can immediately access all of it. Looks like all I need is on Nexus 6P to perform several tasks.

Another power behind the Nexus 6P is its OS. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Android Marshmallow has new and better features including security and power saving. What’s cool about the Marshmallow is that it is the smartest Android version ever. Because it features instant information and shortcuts to everything.

Now I wonder what the “P” stands for?

Well, I guess I’m out of reasons why I shouldn’t buy this beauty. I will immediately write a follow up review once I get my hands on this sexy thing.
